§ 6-159. Remedies cumulative.

  • The building official or town council may enforce the provisions of this article by pursuing all civil and criminal actions, and civil and injunctive remedies available to a town under state law, or by any other remedy or combination of remedies available at law or equity, including, in any court action, the collection of attorney's fees and costs, and maximum interest on liens and judgments as allowed by law. All remedies authorized under this article are cumulative of all others unless otherwise expressly provided. The filing of a criminal action shall not preclude the pursuit of a civil or administrative action for violation of this article, nor shall the filing of a civil action preclude the pursuit of any other action or remedy, whether administrative or criminal.
