§ 32-122. Materials.

Materials shall meet the following minimum specifications:

(1)

Concrete: 3000 psi cylinder strength at 28 days.

(2)

Concrete testing below 90 percent of this value shall be replaced.

(3)

Reinforcing steel: ASTM A615 (Grade 60 or 40.)

(4)

Concrete pipe for storm drainage: ASTM C76, Class III.

(5)

Water system pipe: Cement, AWWA C400, Class 150; PVC, AWWA C900, Class 200 (DR 14), gasketed joints.

Water system valves: AWWA C500.

(7)

Fire hydrants: AWWA C502, 2 hose, 1 pumper connection.

(8)

Sanitary sewer system pipe: Vitrified Clay ASTM C700 (plain end), PVC ASTM D1784 (Type 1, Grade 1), ASTM D-1869 joints, SDR 35 or thicker.

(9)

Water meter boxes: Concrete, cast iron or plastic.

Other materials as specified by the developer and approved by the town.
