§ 32-63. Easements.

(a)

Size. The size of easements where side lots are required shall not be less than nine feet on each side of rear lot lines, with additional five feet on each side beginning at a plane 18 feet above the ground. The full width of easement shall not be less than 18 feet at ground level nor less than 23 feet beginning at a plane 18 feet above the ground level.

(b)

Use. Where necessary, easements shall be retained for poles, wires, conduits, storm sewers, sanitary sewers, water lines, open drains, gas lines, or other utilities. Such easements may be required across parts of lots (including side lines) more often than as described above, if in the opinion of the town council, they are needed.
